This blog is for those who want to learn about Google Apps. In particular, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive.

The first set of posts are to help those new to these, get started and they will progressively build up from the rudimentary basics to showing more advanced things which will make your life easier and hopefully, better!

Personally, I use these both at work and in my personal life. They have radically changed the way I do things. Google really has excelled itself with these and I particularly like the fact they are continually developing them, making them even better.

My latest set of posts look at Google Apps Script, which is the code hiding behind some of the Apps, which you can use to automate things, link the Apps together and generally do some wonderful things even with limited coding experience.

  1. Hey Baz! I really like your articles – much easier to digest than Google’s help files.

I’m a Google for Education Certified Trainer and I’m working on a slide deck to cover many of the functions you use as well (it’s a support piece for a workshop I run). My intentions were to list your blog as a resource, but seeing as we seem to be on the same wavelength regarding the importance of these different functions, I’d like to like directly to your post. I’m sure you won’t have any problems with that, but I wanted to let you know first.

Initially, my plan was also to use the slide deck as a self-directed learning piece (which I will still do) but use your information as a more comprehensive background. You can check out the work in progress here:
